Where would you like to grab an ice cold beer and party in Manila?

Metro Manila is not only about the  walled city of Intramuros or great shopping bargains. The place still sparkles and still has a lot to offer at night time. Actually, it has so many places for evening escapades such as clubs, bars, grills and other places in between that it is easy to be overwhelmed with the choices. Fret not, for we have made it easy and narrow it down to 6 places. From party animals to laid back folks, we’ve got you covered!

1. Valkyrie and The Palace Pool Club

Valkyrie lives up to its promise as the biggest, stylish and the most popular club around. It boasts 6 VIP rooms and can accommodate up to 2500 people. It literally killed the majority of the clubs as it established its presence as the “place to be at”.

Valkyrie occasionally has international DJ graced its booths such as Dirty South, Artful Dodger and Martin Garrix, just to name a few. Be sure to observe proper dress code, reserve a table (minimum charge is Php 15000) and be there around 1:00 am.

If a laid back, pool party is more of your type, head to The Palace Pool Club just right next door! Just make sure you brought a swimsuit. Don’t be misled, though, the cabanas and low tables do not mean that they lay low on the music, mind you, Steve Aoki went there!

2. Time

Address: 7840 Makati avenue, Makati City

If the underground vibe is more of your taste, then head to Time and it is guaranteed that you would not stop dancing. The crowd is a good mix of locals and foreigners enjoying good music and drinks.  This is a place where time is only a suggestion.

Time is also a favorite “after-party” place since it closes around 9:00 am (gasp!).  At 8:00 am, the dance floor is still pretty much crowded! Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, the sun can be pretty murderous when you leave at 7 am.

3. City of Dreams (Pangea and Chaos Club)

Address: Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City, Parañaque City

City of Dreams is a luxurious complex with 5-star hotels, Michelin stars restaurants and a casino. It is also the home of 2 hip clubs, Pangea and Chaos. If you would like to hit 2 clubs with one stone, then this is the place for you.

Pangea lets you experience true luxurious clubbing with its elegant interiors and superb service in the form of a private host and waiter. Chaos, on the other hand, has bigger space, with VIP rooms, pole dancing and cages. International DJ’s have also graced both clubs, most notably on high celebration nights.

4. ABV Bar

Address: Basement floor, 22 Jupiter Street, Makati City

If you are more into relaxation and conversation, we highly recommend ABV bar in Makati. The interiors will definitely leave you speechless, it is literally going back into Prohibition era, secret entrance crafted drinks and classic cocktails. Drinks are a bit pricey compared to the usual bars in Manila but it is definitely worth every penny.

5. 12 Monkeys Music Hall and Pub

L5, Century City Mall, Kalayaan Ave., Poblacion, Makati City

12 Monkeys is the cream of the crop when it comes to homegrown Pinoy music. The band line up ranges from groups that made history in Filipino music to promising new acts. The place also has a good selection of bar chows to accompany your ice-cold beer. Do not expect the place to be cheap, though, door charge is Php 500, which goes to the performing band. But it is definitely worth a visit.

6. Cowboy Grill

Mabini corner Arquiza street, Emita, Manila

If 12 Monkeys is a bit pricey for you, then head to Cowboy Grill in Malate for a crazy, no holds bar drinking and dancing night. The place has 3 bands with songs ranging from Metallica to Nicki Minaj. The place is frequented by locals so expect a lot of Tagalog songs and jokes as well. Just be patient while waiting for your orders.
